  3. When you prepared YOUR VERY OWN ^040
  4. Data Diskette, there was no data file within which to
  5. store data.  A data file must be created to let you
  6. have a place to keep the data which you want.
  7. .sp
  8. Creating a Data File is simply a matter of choosing the
  9. first function from the screen which shows you what you
  10. can do (Type 1 and press the 'enter' key).  When you
  11. do this there will be a warning screen telling you that
  12. if a data file already exists that data file will be
  13. destroyed.  Since you have never created such a file,
  14. go ahead and type  y  and press the 'enter' key.

  16. The first 100 records of your new data file will then
  17. be created.

  19. The file structure (if you really want to know) will
  20. be as follows:

  39. Anytime that you want to start over (maybe you are a
  40. beginner, and made a number of mistakes in the first
  41. ten records, and want to begin again), you can choose
  42. #1 from the ~What you can do~ Screen.  Any of the old
  43. records will no longer be available, and 100 new,
  44. empty records will be there for you to use.

  161. out of space on your diskette (or hard disk).  On a
